The Cosmic Knockout is a humorous modern gothic horror/ Greek Tragedy/ sex farce re-imagining love, lust, crime, punishment, sin, redemption and resurrection as seen through the eyes of a man believed to be the damned.
Issa Ibrahim, artist and author of the memoir ‘The Hospital Always Wins,’ recounts his life trapped as a “zombie trapped in Hell,” in this poignant metaphor for life as an inpatient in a Qweenz, New Yawk mental institution, while pursued by The Furies, romancing The Muses, and cleansing The Seven Deadly Sins.
In this sci-fi take on the Second Coming, song for the dead, and prayer to God, Issa must outlive and outlast his damnation, and find forgiveness and deliverance, all while battling severe mental illness, marijuana addiction, his inner voice, and Satan himself.
Could be seen as an addendum to the author’s debut memoir, or a psychotic parallel narrative.
