SUPERMARKET HEROES social political black superhero parody Limited Edition 9” x 12” signed paper print of artwork by Issa Ibrahim

$25.00

This is a paper print of a painting from 2015 and grew out of an experience had in 1989, during the onset of my “mental illness”, where I saw beyond the smoke of White Supremacist gaslighting to realize the nightmare of American grocery shopping. Dressed in the cartoon colors of childhood fantasy with a coded backdrop of the confederate flag, many Black shoppers were lulled into a false sense of security by these “beloved” icons. I believe it is time to bury these racist anachronisms.

9” x 12”, signed by the artist.

Comes with signed Certificate of Authenticity.
